Relics of St. Carlo Acutis at St. Patrick’s Church, Collyhurst

  • St Patrick's Church Livesey Street Manchester, England, M4 5HF United Kingdom (map)

Diocesan News:

Saint Carlo Acutis is visiting us!

The First Class pilgrim relic measures 6 cm by 2 cm and is kept in a 33 cm by 17 cm reliquary. The Diocese of Assisi carries it worldwide as guardian of Carlo Acutis’s relics, following Church rules. It is part of the saint’s pericardium, the membrane around the heart that holds and protects the heart and great vessels. Biologically important, it also has spiritual meaning: the heart is the center of our feelings and actions and the place from which our relationship with God grows — “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart.”

30 January - 1 February

For the remainder of St Carlo's visit, the relics will travel to St Patrick's Church in Collyhurst from Friday 30 January, where they will be presented until Sunday 1 February with a closing Thanksgiving Mass to be delivered by Bishop John Arnold at 5pm on the Sunday.

During the visit to St Patrick's, there will be several fascinating talks on Carlo's life and other topics such as Adoration and Eucharistic miracles, which will be delivered by our esteemed guests from the Diocese of Assisi - custodians of the relics.
