Opportunities to Serve at Saint Ambrose Barlow

Called To Serve

Every member of our parish has been blessed by God with unique gifts and talents. Ministry is our joyful response to that blessing—a way to put our faith into action, serve our neighbors, and build up the Body of Christ together. At St. Ambrose Barlow, we have a vibrant tapestry of ministries, and there is a place for everyone. We invite you to explore the opportunities below and discover where God is calling you to serve.

Our ministries are grouped into four main areas. Click on any category to learn more about the specific opportunities to get involved.

Liturgical
Ministries

Assist in the celebration of the Mass and our most sacred liturgies as a lector, altar server, usher, or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Faith
Formation

Share the richness of our Catholic faith with the next generation by serving as a catechist for children, a youth ministry volunteer, or an RCIA team member.

Outreach
Ministries

Be the hands and feet of Christ to our neighbors in need by serving the poor, comforting the afflicted, and advocating for the vulnerable.

Parish
Hospitality

Foster a warm and welcoming community by helping with parish events, greeting newcomers, and joining fellowship groups like the Knights of Columbus or our Women's Guild.

"As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace." – 1 Peter 4:10

 Not Sure Where to Begin?

Discerning where to serve is a journey of prayer. If you're not sure which ministry is the right fit for your gifts and schedule, we would love to help. Please contact our parish office, and we can schedule a time to talk about your interests and how you can best get involved. Feel free to use this form below.

In the hurried pace of our lives, faith is the invitation to pause and glimpse the eternal. It is the quiet recognition of God’s steady, loving presence that holds all things together. Here, in this moment, we are reminded that beneath the surface of our busy world lies an unshakable foundation of grace—a constant source of peace and strength for the journey ahead.
