The Centenary St Mark’s Church

  • St. Mark's Parish Church Station Road Manchester, England, M27 United Kingdom (map)

St. Mark’s is 100 Years Old! 🎉🥳🎊

On Sunday 17 January 1926, the first Mass at Saint Mark’s was celebrated by Thomas Henshaw, Bishop of Salford, with Fr Murphy as Parish Priest. A century later, on the morning of Sunday 18 January, we gather again to honour that first sacred liturgy.

After Mass, parishioners are warmly invited to the Parish Hall to mark this hundredth anniversary. Let us share tea, coffee and cake as we trace the gentle arc of a hundred years of prayer — a tapestry woven of morning hymns, whispered devotions and faithful service. Together we will give thanks for the saints and stewards of our past, remember the quiet moments that formed our community, and lift our hearts in hope for the years yet to come.

All are welcome to celebrate a century of grace at Saint Mark’s.
